This post offers a prayer of blessing for those who serve others with Christlike humility. Our generous God partners with individuals within the body of Christ to serve those in need, just as Jesus would. It is very likely that many people have been the hands and feet of Jesus in your life. This Scriptural prayer encourages gratitude towards God and invites His blessings to flow freely in their lives.

Prayer of Thanksgiving for Jesus’ Servant Heart

Heavenly Father, I give You thanks for the gift of Jesus, Your Servant, who humbled Himself to serve and save me (Isaiah 42:1). As Your Son and the one sinless human, He came as a Friend of sinners, welcoming the outcasts and showing boundless mercy (Matthew 11:19). He was the perfect Lamb who died for my sins, the Ransom who paid for my liberty from the ruler of this dark world, and the Bridge who restored my access to You. Through Him, I have eternal life, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the joy of Your presence, Emmanuel—God with us. Help me, O Lord, to love and cherish the humility of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

Prayer of Thanksgiving for God’s Servants in Your Life

Lord, You have also blessed my life with a faithful servant, someone who walks in humility and honors You by serving others. Thank You for their heart of gentleness and patience, for the way they bear others burdens in love (Ephesians 4:2). Just as Jesus taught, healed, and gave freely, this servant, ___________________, reflects His generous kindness and care. Their life is a testimony of Your grace, and I ask that You bless them with the reward of true humility and fear of the Lord—riches, honor, and life (Proverbs 22:4).

Prayer for God to Strengthen His Servants

Father, may You strengthen this faithful servant to continue walking humbly with You, clothed in the apron of humility (1 Peter 5:5). Just as Ruth found favor, protection, and a much better life under the leadership of Boaz and while serving her mother-in-law, may ________________ receive from Your hand a full reward for all they have done (Ruth 2:12). Let their good works shine for all to see, bringing glory to You and the name of Your Son, Jesus. (Matthew 5:16).

I believe in the power of Jesus’ name and pray boldly today at Your throne because of His immeasurable acts of service. Amen
